As soon as I made the Sweet Tea I knew I those sleeves would be perfection on a Juliet!
I’m so happy to see that I was right! 😀
It’s no secret that I absolutely love (to obsession level) the Juliet.
Being pear shaped and having a buttload of junk in my trunk (lol 😛 ), I’m constantly having to check if my underwear (or worse) isn’t on display whenever I sit down wearing low rise jeans. A bodysuit or leotard takes care of that! So having a nice fitting one is a life saver!
Throw cute sleeves in the mix and you have me skipping for joy!
See? Low rise jeans, noooo problem! 🙂
I got this fabric from a dutch facebook group. I think is brushed poly, the bodysuit is lined with a heavier knit. I like the stability.
The armscye from the Juliet and the Sweet Tea don’t match, so I had to modify the sleeve pattern in order to make it work. I meant to take bet ter photos of the process, but life got in the way and I didn’t get around to it. But I think with this you can get the general idea of the process:
Red is Sweet Tea, Black is Juliet and highlighter is the new pattern piece.
Juliet is 3/8″ in, to account for the sa needed in order to create the slit and bow of the other sleeve.
So happy with the results!
My daughter walked in when I was trying it on and her reaction was:
– Oooooh, why do you have cute bow sleeves on your bodysuit and I don’t????
Yep, you guessed it! I need to make another one pretty soon! lol
