Orono Top

Orono Top by Itch to Stitch

There are so many reasons to love the new Itch to Stitch pattern, Orono!

Kennis has a great eye for classic styles with a twist, and I’m a big fan. I love every single piece I make with her patterns and this one is no different.

Orono is meant for stable knits and features:

  • High stand up collar;
  • Raglan sleeves (with shoulder darts);
  • Petal front;
  • High-low hem;
  • in seam pockets (these are awesome!).

The collar can be worn standing up or folded down if you don’t like the feeling of a high collar, and it looks awesome both ways.

I love how the pattern is constructed and assembled and the pockets are fun to make!

The raglan sleeves are so great.
No puckering, no twisting, just plain perfection!

I mean… look at it:

The fabric I used is a double knit (open weave + lining) and it was a perfect choice for the pattern. It has about 15% horizontal stretch.

Orono has such a flattering silhouette, it can be worn with a top or shirt underneath without being boxy. <3

I’m ready for spring, but having an awesome sweater does help make the winter days more bearable. 😉

    I will admit to being less than thrilled with this top! (Gasp – I LOVE Itch to Stitch). Yours is the first version that I have absolutely LOVED. The material makes your top stand out.

    1. Aw, thank you so much!
