Goth Collection

WOOT!!
The long awaited GG Goth Collection is live and yes, it’s just as amazing as we all wanted/expected!

There’s a total of 6 patterns, a ton of options overal and endless posibilites for both “over the top” and “regular” looks.

I truly can’t believe I’ve made these clothes. They’re so amazingly beautiful and intricate-looking!

All the patterns are made for wovens and include great tailoring instructions to help us achieve a great fit.

As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, I’m in a sort of funk lately and not feeling like myself but I just couldn’t let this collection (nor this post go)… I’m so amazed by it. I apologize if the post turns out to be a bit vague or lacking, I’ll go through it again once the funk passes. <3

With that being said, let’s dive right in!

Evanescent Dress

“The Evanescent Dress is the classic design needed for any collection! Featuring a fitted, darted bodice, trendy square neckline and back zip closure. Choose from basic circle skirt and over-the-top gathered circle skirt.”

This is such a classic silhouette and a perfect canvas for so many different looks. I used a lurex jacquard and opted for the regular circle skirt, when worn by itself it’s the perfect party dress. Can you picture how cute it would be with a lovely skinny belt? 🙂

It’s also the perfect companion for both the Bedight Bolero and Lust Corset!

Bedight Bolero

“The Bedight Bolero is the perfect accessory for all your Goth/Steampunk looks! Choose from an elegant button-up, collared/poof sleeve version…or keep it sweet and simple with the pull-on ruffle option!”

I used the same fabric to make both boleros It’s a mystery woven that has been in my stash forever. I believe is some sort of decor/curtain fabric that I got on sake a few years ago… 😀

I feel like this is actually 2 patterns in one, instead of one pattern with multiple options. Both boleros are so fun and unique!

Boudoir Blouse

“The Boudoir Blouse is a work of art! This fitted, button-up design features poof, flared sleeves with a fitted cuff, a high, ruffled collar, full bib ruffle and cascade accent. “

I made both options, with and without ruffles and it’s love all around! The front ruffles add more drama and the no-front ruffle is more flexible qua daily wear.

The white blouse is made with a poly woven and ~~ikea curtain~~ (ahem lol) lace, and for the black one I used taft and tule.

The Boudoir is the perfect companion to the Paradox skirt.
How FUN are these looks?

Paradox Skirt

These skirts are jaw-dropping amazing!
I have no words to fully express how much I love them, especially the pick-up one! That outfit had me dancing and twirling around the house and feeling like I just jumped out of a book <3

The pick-up one has a elastic waistband and the fitted has a side zip.

The fabris I used were: taft and poplin for the pick up skirt and velvet and taft for the fitted one.

Seriously, everyone needs at least one of these in their lives. It’s such a feel-good piece! Fair warning though… the pick-up skirt is a bit of fabric hog and there’s so.much.gathering involved! lol Totally worth it though… 😉

Lust Corset

I can’t believe I made a corset… a freaking c.o.r.s.e.t! With boning!
AND IT WASN’T HARD!!!

My mind was utterly blown by this one.

This is the glue that binds the whole collection together, as you’ve seen in all the photos I posted already, it can be paired (and looks amazing) with all the other pieces.

I opted for the lace back option but already have a hook and eye version waiting to be finished.
The fabrics I used were lace+regular lining for the main and a heavyweight denim-like woven for the lining.
The only thing I did differently from the pattern was to use a satin ribbon for tying it instead of making my own.

I love the charm of the lace back, but am looking forward to the practicality of the hook and eye. Having outifit changes with the lace back was a marathon! LOL

Antechamber Coat

I have this one made but didn’t manage to take photos of it yet… So this is a place holder, or an IOU to hold me accountable to get it done and post it asap! 😉
