Balloon Cardigan – Wardrobe By Me
A good cardigan is, in my opinion, an essential piece of any wardrobe. It’s practical, versatile and can be a great addition to an outfit. I just love me a nice cardi!
And the newest Wardrobe by Me pattern, Balloon Cardigan, is my latest love for so many reasons.
It has a super cute silhouette, comes in two lengths, has two different necklines and can be made with an array of fabrics (knit AND woven). Not to mention the amazing fit and drafting. Christina is a rockstar!
It’s an easy and satisfying sew.
I just couldn’t stop making them and experimenting with different types of fabrics.
Here’s what I’ve made so far:
VELVET (knit)
Isn’t it yummy? I love it!
Whether it’s paired with a nice pencil skirt or a simple pair of jeans, it just takes the outfit up a notch, doesn’t it?
I’m glad I managed to snap photos before my daughter snatched it up stole it from my closet! lol
CRÊPE (woven)

This one, I’m obsessed with!
Because of the fabric, when the cardi is closed, it looks like a blouse and I love it! Perfect “blousing” without having to tuck the shirt and having to readjust every time you sit down.
I’m not a huge animal print wearer, but I do love me some panther and snake prints!
LACE
This one is my favorite… it’s so delicate and feminine.
This one can go from lunch out with friends to a nice party or dinner. Just a matter of switching up the bottoms. <3
I love the skirt look, but I’m sure that when the weather gets warmer I’ll living in this lace cardi paired with jeans! 😉
So many possibilities with this pattern!
I already have a bunch more planned, including a couple of hacks. Can’t wait to get to it!
