New Horizons

Marbella for Valentine’s Day

Marbella Tank

I’m so excited to be a part of this Blog Tour!
First, because I’m a huge New Horizons fan and second because I get to talk about one of my all time favorites: the Marbella Tank!

This is my 5th Marbella and the love for it only keeps getting stronger! <3

If you’re not familiar with the pattern, the Marbella is a perfect fitting tank that can be made basic or with different lace back, it’s perfect for layering wear as a stand-alone or paired with backless sweaters and tops, like the Valencia.

Back option 3 is my ultimate favorite!

For this Valentine’s day inspired Tour I chose to make a comfy and cute lounging set, because my Valentine’s Day date will probably be cuddling up on the couch and watching Netflix after kids have gone to bed (yeah… we’re wild like that! 😛 ).

So instead of rocking a killer date night dress, I’ll be cozy in my lovely Marbella + Portlanders set!

I used the tutorial on the NH Blog on how to add a shelf bra to the Marbella and it’s perfect! It really is the cherry on top!

The addition of the shelf bra allows me to go braless AND eliminates hemming the armscye and neckline… What? Yes, please and thank you!!!

My movie-at-home-date-night outfit wouldn’t be complete without some cute and comfy shorts and no better choice than Portlanders, right?

I used FT for the short, ran the edges through the serger and ran straight stitching above it to let the hem curl up with use. Also, I’m 5’10” and didn’t adjust for height to keep them short… I figured the hubs would appreciate it. lol

Now that I’ve shared with you my super exciting Valentine’s Day plans and outfit with you, let’s talk about some fun stuff:
