YAY! The Women’s Solis is here, and it’s AMAZING!
I’ve always looked at the kids’ version of this dress and dreamed about making one for myself. And now I have and am soooooo happy with it!
I love the how the bodice fits and the racer style back. This is one make-you-feel-good-about-yourself dress!
The pattern comes with different options which is always great.
- Empire waist with a gathered skirt
- Normal waist bodice that can be paired with either a circle or a pleated skirt
- Pleated tunic option
- Pockets!
I made a normal bodice with a circle skirt, in size 44 graded to 46 at the waist and added 2″ to the bodice and 2″ to the skirt length. This dress fits like a dream!
The fabrics I used are stretch velvet for the main and CL for the lining and back straps.
And because you can’t wear a circle skirt and not twirl around in it, no matter how old you are… Action shot! 😉
