Aphrodite Top

Th

Rad Patterns designs always celebrate the feminine form and the Aphrodite Dress (and Tunic) is no different.Ā  But with a name like that, what else could we expect? šŸ˜€

This pattern features a tie front knot that can be made with a true cut out front or have a faux cami for a more modest look. The knotĀ is functional and both options are breastfeeding friendly, no hacks needed! How cool is that?

The pattern comes with 5 lengths (tunic, mini, knee, midi and maxi), and each length can have either straight or high-low hem.Ā  Something for everyone!

For my first Aphrodite, I decided to make the high-low tunic with the cutout option.

Ok, let’s talk support and bra options for this top.
Personally, I’ll be wearing mine braless since I don’t really need the extra support (full member of the IBTC lol). But some of the more endowed testers wore their Aphrodite with a low cut bra or just with bras that are thin in the middle. Another option is to pair it with the Lucky Lingerie. Someone even mashed the Lucky bra and the Aphrodite and it’s amazeballs!

My fabric doesn’tĀ have that great of a recovery, so I followed the pattern instructions to add clear elastic on the waistband/cutout seam for stability. My top is size L graded to 1X at the hips. Fit is perfection and sewing instructions easy and simple to follow! It’s a great instant gratification project!

For my next one, I’m trying to decide between a straight hem tunic or a maxi dress….Ā decisions, decisions, decisions!

Ready to jump on the Aphrodite bandwagon? If so, what option will you make first?
